advent reflections

Advent begins this Sunday. If you're like me, you'll want to counteract the hectic nature of this time of year by taking even a few moments each day to slow down and reflect on the meaning of this season. To that end, I've prepared a series of reflections called "Preparing for Christ's Coming". Last year our church here in Madrid used these readings as a guide for both personal reflection as well as small group discussion. So this year I thought I'd make them available to others in our "global community".

Each day you'll find Scripture readings, pastoral thoughts, questions for self-reflection and poetic prayers. The readings center on the themes of hope, trust, joy and peace. These themes, in turn, are interfaced with the main characters of Advent (the prophets, Joseph & Mary, the shepherds and the wise men).

The booklet is available in PDF format and can be purchased at the price of $10 USD. To read some samples, download one or all of these PDFs.

One other request: On the chance that you went through these last year and enjoyed them, why not consider passing on the word to your friends or family members, directing them here to purchase their own copy? I would also love to hear from some of you who have gone through these readings, letting me know how they impacted you. Email me at troy@oasismadrid.org

Click below to buy the booklet (the button will take you to PayPal, a secure internet service). You will receive your document in PDF format within 24 hours of purchase.
