These are long overdue, but here are some photos of our Easter retreat. I figure, "better late than never", eh? Enjoy...
Here's a shot of all those who attended the whole weekend event. There were some who could only attend the first two days and others who came out for the baptism service on Easter Sunday. They didn't make the cut for the picture, because we were just more spiritual, dontcha know.
Here's a couple pics giving you an idea of the setting. Beautiful, in a word.
One of the highlights of the weekend was a prayer room we set up. It was a creative space where one could commune with God in many different fashions: through music, various worship stations, meditation, intercession, journaling, Scripture reading, or visual art.
We also enjoyed just hanging out...
...playing games...
Taking a hike to a really cool tree that has grown in such a fashion it resembles a fort...
A handful of folks decided to climb the mountain on Saturday afternoon. On the way back, they were treated to a rainbow.
On Easter Sunday we were treated to a group dance choreographed by Amy Swacina, our intern on staff with Oasis Madrid.
And we celebrated the rite of baptism with Monaca Thomas.
Random faces from the weekend
The many faces of the Oasis Madrid team. Can you tell we took team photos on Sunday afternoon? Thanks to Victoria Stembokas for the pics and the ideas: you really do live up to your Ukranian heritage.
